PSDS has a comprehensive Urban Flood Rescue training program that all public safety personnel should have to be safe and more proactive to any flood response. As climates continue to change across the country and with the existence of more drought like conditions, there is potential for catastrophic flood situations to arise. From the emergency managers who do the planning, to the boots on the ground who perform the rescue service, everyone should be properly trained, be knowledgeable and prepared in the event of any flood situation. This program incorporates the resources of fire service, law enforcement, search and rescue, along with emergency medical professionals.
