Public Safety Dive Services offers a wide range of public safety diving courses that cover entry to advanced levels. The courses are designed to give the public safety diver the necessary tools to safely function as part of a public safety dive team. All courses offered at Public Safety Dive Services are OSHA and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) compliant which meet and exceed all three levels of the NFPA guidelines (awareness, operations, and technician). At a minimum we employee ERD (emergency response diving) public safety diving course instruction with advanced PSDS curriculum.

Public Safety Diving Courses

PSDS Public Safety Dive training, employees rigorous teaching methods which have been endorsed by fire departments, law enforcement agencies and federal agencies across the country.

Our Public Safety Dive training is realistic, demanding and individually focused, hands-on, and strives for nothing less than professional excellence. During our training, there is a great deal of dynamic training under very realistic conditions. PSDS instructors bring a wealth of knowledge and real-world experience.

Drowning Investigation Training

Public Safety Dive Supply offers law enforcement and fire departments important drowning investigation training designed for new or experienced dive team tenders, divers or additional personnel that may be called to the scene of a drowning.

Our drowning investigation program is approved by the ABMDI – American Board of Medicolegal Death Investigators and the IAI – International Association for Identification. 16 CEU available.

Swift Water Rescue Training

Public Safety Dive Services offers Swift Water Rescue Training for Level I, II operational classes for any public safety team member that has swift water rescue situations or the potential for swift water in their response area.

PSDS has developed Swiftwater training courses with the knowledge that whitewater sports, floods and swift water accidents are on the rise, putting fire, police, and EMS at more risk than any other type of rescue. Our instructors know that one mistake in a swift water rescue can lead to multiple rescuer fatalities in a matter of seconds. At PSDS our focus is providing the highest level of training in Swift Water Training under the safest possible conditions.

Surface Ice Rescue Training

PSDS has developed the Surface Ice Rescue training courses with the knowledge that ice related incidents and ice rescues put our fire, police and EMS personnel in high-risk situations more than any other type of rescue.

All rescue personnel needs to be prepared for ice rescue response! Are your department’s personnel trained to save themselves? Will they be ready, competent and able to assist during an emergent ice rescue response? PSDS teaches fire, law and search and rescue departments with the most current rescue methods available.

 Urban Flood Rescue Course

Our Urban Flood Rescue program is specifically designed for public safety personnel. The Urban Flood Rescue program offers insight to mitigate natural and man-made hazards which will result in safer practices. PSDS continues to exceed all three levels of the NFPA guidelines (awareness, operation and technician). We examine low to high risk scene management and have developed the best and most
effective rescue methods for those scenarios. We focus on keeping the rescue personnel safe.
